Meaning & Analysis
This etching was created by Tracey Emin in 2013 and forms part of our Animals collection of her work. Printed in blue ink, Emin depicts three deer moving towards the left of her composition. About these deer is expressive mark-making that simply delineates the woodland area around them.
Emin has often expressed her love for animals, perhaps it is because they are more peaceful creatures removed from the emotional havoc of humans.
