• WHO IS IN THE MYARTBROKER NETWORK?

  MyArtBroker's MyPortfolio invites you into our private community of buyers and sellers of blue chip prints. Our private network is built of over 30,000 collectors, as well as dealers, galleries and independent experts globally that work with us to ensure we can offer the most covetable and authentic Modern and Contemporary prints. Our network is bespoke to us: some members buy and sell with us regularly, some are just entering into the field of collecting, others are with us for the first time interested in realising the value of something they acquired many years before. MyArtBroker’s network is global, meaning we regularly source and supply art worldwide.

• HOW CAN MYPORTFOLIO HELP ME TO KNOW WHEN TO SELL MY ARTWORK?

  The timing of selling works in your collection is a wholly personal choice: it may be a matter of wanting to make space for new works, a significant house move, or desiring to ‘cash-in’ on your asset. With regards to making the greatest return on your initial investment when buying the artwork, looking at MyPortfolio's market index can help approximate the current value of your work. It is also best to sell when there is a demand in the market, however, so too many recent sales of a comparable print may indicate that you should wait to sell.

• WHERE DOES THE DATA FOR THE GROWTH INDICATOR COME FROM?

  The growth indicator corresponding to each artwork on the trading floor and artwork pages corresponds to Average Annual Growth Rate (AAGR) over the past 5 years. Our value growth indicator is powered by Repeat Sales Regression Technology, giving you access to data and represents the only dedicated print market index in the world. Our algorithm tracks up-to-date value data across 3,500 artworks spanning 30 years, including signed, unsigned, APs, PPs, TPs and sets of prints and editions.

  By taking into account both historical auction sales and private sales and valuations within our network, our index is completely unique, and better positioned to inform your investment in editioned art than any other.

  Because the prints and multiples market is a comparable market, this approach is the perfect fit; data from one print from an edition will be highly indicative for all the works from that edition, and the same is true of artist proofs, trial proofs and so on.

• WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GROWTH SINCE PURCHASE AND 5-YEAR GROWTH AAGR?

  The Growth Since Purchase is the percentage increase or decrease in the value of an investment since it was purchased. On the other hand, 5-Year Growth AAGR stands for Average Annual Growth Rate and is a measure of how much an investment has grown on average each year over a period of five years.

• WHERE DOES THE ESTIMATE VALUE PRICE RANGE COME FROM AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

  The estimate value uses our our bespoke Repeat Sales Regression (RSR) algorithm to analyse over 48,500 auction histories & our own private sales data across 3,500 artworks spanning 30 years, using the comparable status of edition prints and multiples. • HOW MANY ARTWORKS CAN I ADD FROM MY COLLECTION TO MY DASHBOARD?

  This service is intended for personal use only by private collectors, in which case there is no limit on the number of artworks you can track.

• CAN MYPORTFOLIO BE USED FOR COMMERCIAL PURPOSES?

  Commercial use, and automated tracking by bots is prohibited.

• WHERE CAN I FIND THE VALUE OF MY ART COLLECTION USING MYPORTFOLIO?

  The MyPortfolio dashboard offers quick access to vital stats about your art collection once you have logged in, including the estimate value of your collection (shown as a price range), alongside the number of works you own, and the 5-year Growth (AAGRD) of your art combined.

• WHO HAS ACCESS TO MYPORTFOLIO DASHBOARD? IS MY DATA AND COLLECTION SHARED WITH ANYONE ELSE?

  We value and respect your privacy. Your artwork collection and personal details will only be visible to you. If you choose to upload the work to our trading platform, then others can see that a work is owned or for sale, but no personal details will be shared.

  Your data is securely encrypted and your MyPortfolio account is accessible only to you via. 2-factor authentication.

• WHY DO I NEED TO SUBMIT MY PHONE NUMBER WHEN SETTING UP MY ACCOUNT?

  Your phone number assists with 2-factor authentication. This technology ensures it is only you who will have access to your account and collection, helping to secure your data.

• IF I AM JUST INTERESTED IN WATCHING AN ARTWORK'S MARKET VALUE FOR NOW, CAN MYPORTFOLIO HELP ME DO THIS?

  With MyPortfolio, you have your own unique profile where you are able to browse works you enjoy and works for potential sale. You can add these works to your profile where our technology will continue to track and update the value of that work for you. Our specialist sales team is always available to assisst when making the decision to buy or invest in a work.

• HOW IS MY DATA SECURED ON MYPORTFOLIO?

  MyPortfolio uses secure encrypting to protect your data, and accounts are secured with 2-factor authentication, meaning both your individual phone number and login will be required to gain access.

• IS MYPORTFOLIO FREE?

  MyPortfolio is completely free to use. Seting up an account takes less than 30 seconds, and once your profile is created you can add your existing collection (if you have one), browse for artworks that interest you, manage valuations and access the only bespoke art market index for Modern and Contemporary prints and multiples.

• DO I HAVE TO HAVE BOUGHT MY ARTWORKS THROUGH MYARTBROKER TO USE MYPORTFOLIO?

  No, you do not have to have bought your collection through MyArtBroker, or have worked with us before to set up a MyPortfolio account. Much like our complimentary valuations, there is no obligation to buy or sell with us once you have made a profile - at MyArtBroker we pride ourselves on innovating to make the art market a more accessible and transparent place. Nevertheless, many of our clients who buy/sell with us will do so more than once, thanks to the efficient service our expert brokers provide.

• WHAT CAN I DO IF THERE ARE NO WORKS AVAILABLE FOR THE ARTWORK I WANT?

  If you come across a work that you really want to buy while browsing our website, but it has no ‘for sale’ icon, don’t worry. Finding the artwork you really love is precisely what we do (and have been doing for over 15 years) - you can use the “Enquire to Buy” form on the artwork’s page and we will contact you regarding sourcing it for you.
