Biography

Bill Jensen has carved out a significant place in the art world as an Abstract painter. Born and raised in Minneapolis, he pursued formal art education at the University of Minnesota, earning his BFA in 1968 and MFA in 1970. Since the early 1970s, Jensen has lived and worked in New York City, where he has been a vibrant voice in the Contemporary Art scene.

His career began to flourish in the late 1970s, during which he became associated with the New York School of Abstract Expressionism and Colour Field Painting. Jensen's work reflects on the emotional power of colour and shape.
